What Problems Can Electric Cars Solve in Pakistan?

Pakistan is undoubtedly trapped in many problems causing crisis for the citizens on alarming levels. In such times, innovation is the thing that can drive the nation to get the awareness of the problems at hand and find effective solutions for them. As far as vehicle problems are concerned, the introduction of electric cars as commonly used vehicles on the road can be a big step towards solving some of the major problems of the country which are as follows.

1. Petrol Crisis

Seeing the problem more realistically, a country should not rely on natural resources for very long to fulfill its everyday needs. Oxygen and water might be an exception but natural engine fuel is a target for crisis for this very reason. Because petrol cannot be replaced for its role in so many other industries, using it as a daily car engine fuel is heavy on everyone’s pockets. This leads to a rise in its price and ultimately the citizens face a dent in their financial budgets.

To get rid of this situation once and for all, electric cars in Pakistan would be a great change towards betterment. They do not require petrol as they have an electric motor engine and a rechargeable battery. This requires charging the battery every once in a while-which is not a burden on consumers’ pockets and works a long way.

2. Noise Pollution

Our surroundings are very loud especially for those who live in busy areas. A major reason for this is the engines of petrol cars that make noise and the vehicle’s speed is increased. This is disturbing not only for people living in heavy traffic areas but also for the drivers who have to keep up with such noise. Unfortunately, Pakistan is among the list of the countries that still use the 80s version of the engine in their vehicles which makes unbearable noise during the ride. Most of the vehicle designs especially in local transports are not from this century. This is not only an outdated style of living but also a life-threatening way of locomotion. These vehicles instantly catch fire which leads to accidental deaths.

Electric Cars propose a good solution to this problem as they don’t have a noise-making engine. They can prove to be smooth and noise-free rides for drivers and citizens in busy areas can live comfortably with electric cars rolling on the roads. This would effectively reduce noise pollution which eventually cuts off the hearing challenges and stress in people caused by noise.

3. Air Pollution

And last but not least, petrol cars are responsible for air pollution as the petrol combusting in the engine releases harmful chemicals. These chemicals are usually harmful gases, smoke, and lead. Not only these agents are bad for people walking on the roads, but they also contribute to environmental air pollution and global warming in the long term.

Introducing Electric Cars in Pakistan alongside growing as many trees as possible would lead to a decrease in air pollution in less time. Electric vehicles don’t emit any bad chemicals and can be environmentally friendly in the long run.

Precautions Needed

Modern electric cars appear with the best of materials and spare parts. So before making them a norm, the country needs to build secure parking lots for such vehicles as these vehicles can be stolen easily by looters or mafias that resell these parts to others.
